The Principal Consultant provides support on integrated projects to customers and provides necessary assistance, guidance, and advice to executives, industry leaders, customer senior executives, and project managers in best practices, standard methodologies, and technology. Typically has a broad base of knowledge and experience across multiple industries, products, and services.  Reporting to the Director of Professional Services, the Principal Consultant should be a Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) with experience on Cisco Enterprise Infrastructure (Routing and Switching) and Data Center Products with Strong design and implementation skills, in an enterprise scale environment. 

 

This is a remote role with a target salary range of $175K commensurate upon experience

What We Need & What You'll Do (Responsibilities)

  • Provide planning, design, and implementation services for client enterprise infrastructure and data center technology deployment projects
  • Provide technical project oversight for large scale enterprise infrastructure and data center technology deployment/migration projects
  • Provide presales solution and level of estimate development support as an enterprise infrastructure and data center technologies subject matter expert
  • Contribute to the development and ongoing improvement of  industry best practices and standards for deploying enterprise technologies
  • Mentor and provide technical leadership to other team members

Who You Are (Qualifications)

  • Minimum five to ten years of experience in the solution design, implementation planning, and deployment of Cisco and other multi-vendor networking solutions
  • Experience as a Senior Implementation Lead and/or Architect Team Lead
  • Able to be a self-starter, multi-task, and work with clients in challenging network environments and in multiple concurrent customer projects
  • Superior customer facing skills
  • Experience working directly with product vendors
  • Experience developing project plans, Level of Effort estimates, deployment and test plans
  • Must be a strong Cisco Enterprise Infrastructure Route Switch and Data Center Engineer 
  • Planning, design, and deployment/upgrade of enterprise core networks and data center networking in enterprise scale client environments
  • Experience with Python scripting for Cisco device configuration automation
  • Experience in design and deployment of data center and enterprise networking technologies such as NXOS, ACI, intent-base network, DNA and SD-WAN
  • Competency in design and deployment of Cisco security portfolio such as ISE, Zero Trust, Firepower, Umbrella, AMP and Email security a plus
  • Competency in Cisco Unified Communications (UCCM, Webex Calling) a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure networking a plus
  • Methodical approach to problem solving and resolution
  • Self-driven and resourceful to achieve goals independently as well as work well in groups
  • Flexibility to adjust to changing requirements, schedules and priorities
  • Able to socialize ideas, make recommendations, and gather team consensus to move forward
  • Able to effectively communicate both orally and in writing to technical and non-technical audiences at all levels in an organization; develop procedural documentation; develop and conduct effective presentations; effectively demonstrate products and solutions; and be able to write customer proposals
  • Able to travel at least 25%

 

Education/Certifications:

  • Enterprise Infrastructure CCIE
  • Data Center CCIE
  • Additional CCIE/CCNP (Security, Wireless) a plus
  • CISSP or equivalent is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree, technical degree or equivalent experience
  • Additional certifications in operating systems, databases and programming languages a plus
